The Adelaide University division 3 men’s squad has a rich history of playing in the Collegiate Soccer League from 2004. They did well even though as the Blacks 3rd and 4th teams in the club they played against other club’s first teams.
In 2005 the decision was made to move the CSL teams to the SAASL run competitions and hopefully the teams would settle to a league via promotion and relegation where they were competitive on a weekly basis.
After being relegated from Division 2 following the end of the 2006 season, the squad was rebuilt, with plenty of new players and won promotion back to Division 2 for the 2008 season. The team didn’t fare too well during the 2008 season and were promptly relegated back to Division 3.
