Whites faced off against a much improved (from pre-season) Norwood this week, as we looked to bounce back and go into the Rostrevor game full of confidence. We had one of the better starts for Whites so far this season, with Yenni confidently playing out from the back. Abdul attacked towards his favourite end making some good runs and eventually rewarded for his persistence dribbling inside and beating a few players to score on the second effort. Unfortunately Yenni tweaked his hamstring just before half time adding to our injury woes. We went 1-0 up going into the break. Alex re-organised the team at half time, Tor continued to play well in midfield; Omar came in and made a few good opportunities before scoring again. Although we were on top for more the game Norwood did have a few opportunities, Martins made a great one hand save to his right and then stepped up to save a penalty! Crab and Alex came into midfield to see out the game in the second half as we claimed 4-0. A lot of players had good games today, but if you save a pen you deserve the 3pts, so martins was my pick for best with 2 fantastic saves and improved distribution. Also Tor for his hard work in midfield and Abdul after a slow start got the job done. 4-0,
That’s it.
