Coming off a string of good results, the Whites started out well. Aaron driving into the box and being brought down led to Alex slotting one home from the spot for our first. Pembroke managed to equalise when they drove through the middle and finished well. Frustratingly, we allowed them to do it again going 3-1 down at half time. They pressured us all over the ground and did not allow us to play the game we like. Second half Omar and Mohammad came in and offered a little pace up front, Omar unlucky not to score on a break hitting the post, eventually managed to peg one back from a free kick bouncing of the post, which pin pong-ed around, with Omar heading home on the line. Pembroke still dominated the play of most part and unfortunately went down 4-2 at the final whistle. Best on day, Aaron Chen worked hard all day, Omar came on and did well, Lewis tried to bring some much needed aggression, Joe covered as much as he could. A lot of players which haven’t played together much, couldn’t gel on the day, back to training and we go again next week and hope for a good cup draw.
