The Big Issue Community Street Soccer program holds a tournament on the last Wednesday of each month in Adelaide.

Various community groups are invited to play some soccer, with a barbecue and there is time for informal discussions too. The players enjoy linking in with others in the community.

Members of the Adelaide University soccer community are encouraged to get involved on Wednesday February 27 between 2.30 and 4.30pm for a match. You can bring as many or as few people as you like.

The tournament is held at the Adelaide City SC grounds, Unley Rd, South Parklands.

Street Soccer is open to males and females aged 16 years and above. Our players come from many walks of life, but all have been marginalised in some way. This could be through factors such as mental illness, homelessness, refugee status, drug and alcohol dependency, physical disability, long-term unemployment or family breakdown.
