Adelaide University Soccer Club is delighted to welcome Phil Stubbins as our new Elite Men’s Head Coach, bringing trailblazing, disciplined and experienced coaching to the Club.

Stubbins is one of the most charismatic and experienced coaches in the game, renowned for developing young players and transforming club standards to that of an elite level.

With an approach to delivering innovative and winning football, Stubbins’ record speaks for itself, having contributed to developing some of the A-League’s most recognisable footballers and having won 8 championships as a head coach.

The Club President, Dr William Hill said: ‘We are excited to have Phil join us. He has played and coached at the highest level, and brings a wealth of experience of the game and its leadership to the Club. This appointment is important in our commitment to developing players and to the continuous improvement of the Club.

On making the move to MacKinnon Parade, Stubbins said: ‘I’m thrilled to have joined AUSC and welcome the opportunity to work alongside some very solid people. We certainly have some exciting work ahead. My role will be to implement a firm football platform, providing for sustainability and future successes. AUSC possess all the necessary tools to progress strongly and have a forward-thinking mentality in all aspects of the game. I want to thank the board for their support and the opportunity to work together towards building an all-round stronger football club.’

Luigi Mesisca, the Club’s recently appointed Men’s Football Director, said Stubbins has a clear vision for taking the Club forward and is driven to succeed. We look forward to supporting him and the squad in realising their full potential.’
